It’s always a delight to spot a hummingbird on the feeder. If there ever was an advantage to having a feeder it would be that they become accustomed to us. Letting me get not only get close to them but photograph them as well. He poses for me on his daytime perch in a rhododendron bush not so far from the feeder. I’m perhaps only four feet from him and so long as I don’t make any sudden movements he will let me continue to take pictures until the urge to feed takes over or a female hummer comes by. I have been very fortunate to see this guys acrobatics as he defends his feeder and even luckier to have captured him with my camera
